Who are we?

HostJunkies is an experienced web hosting company led by experienced professionals. We started web hosting under the domain Unix4me.com in March of 2009. We mainly hosted family, friends and some local businesses. We then started the domain level1it.com January of 2010 and began advertising to gain more clients. In July 2010, our current host name became available and we re-branded the business. We employ fast multi core servers in the premier Singlehop data center. We focus our attention on providing the best, economical web hosting possible. We offer reseller accounts and shared hosting and we focus all of our attention on these accounts. We utilize server grade multi core supermicro servers running the excellent CentOS 5 Operating System. We run Apache web server, MySQL, and PHP5 to ensure compatibility with all of your web applications.

Why us?

HostJunkies operates all accounts on dedicated servers in a prominent U.S. datacenter located in Chicago, IL. We do not use reseller accounts or VPS accounts to host your websites. We have premium connections to the INTERNET backbone and our datacenter utilizes top of the line network hardware. Our datacenter also includes industry leading backup power generators, cooling, fire suppression and security. Your data is safe and your content is fast. We utilize an additional dedicated server in a separate part of the datacenter for account backups for an extra layer of protection. We don't offer empty promises - Many hosts say they have 24/7 support when they actually don't, those chat now icons are always "offline". We don't pretend to offer it. If you need support, file a support ticket, email us, or call us. We promise to provide support within a reasonable time frame. We don't offer unlimited bw and storage - Many hosts offer unlimited bandwidth and storage space. This is simply not true nor realistic. There are limits, there has to be. Just try to load up 250GB of files on that unlimited account and you will find yourself cancelled very quickly. We offer generous limits and we provide exactly what we provision.
